He joined Mount Miller Architects as a general superintendent and carpenter while finishing his undergraduate degree and then moved on to hold jobs at Brown & Root, Hudson Engineering Inc., and McClung Construction Company. While president of McClung Construction Company, he became the president and operating officer of Providence Development Inc. when the McClung Construction Company underwent an ownership change.

Since 1986, he has been owner and operating officer of BLG Development Providence Development Inc./Tony McClung & Company. He designs and builds large, superior-quality residential construction projects in the Dallas-Fort Worth metro area. His education in construction, years of work experience in the field, and lifelong dedication to the craft marks him as one of the best professional architectural designers in the state of Texas.
